The Space

Casa Don Carlos is located in a wonderful neighborhood of Granada City, Nicaragua. The exquisite details of this three-bedroom home can be appreciated in the beautifully handmade intricate colonial tiled floors, it’s mix of Spanish-Mediterranean architecture, the wooden columns and hand carved furniture, the interior courtyard accentuated by a volcanic rock cascade and much, much more. We leave it up to you to discover all of it’s beauty.
The layout is open-air style. The kitchen is set between the corridors surrounding the courtyard and the living-room area. The two bedrooms are tucked away on the first floor sharing one full bathroom. Both rooms are equipped with full size beds and air conditioning.
The Master Suite has a queen size bed, a private elegant full bathroom, spacious closets, air conditioning, and is located on the second floor. It has access to a beautiful veranda where one can watch the sunrise sipping on the famous Nicaraguan coffee or watch the sunset and relax to the sound of singing birds.

One of the most enchanting features of Casa Don Carlos is the “Mirador” located on the 3rd floor. The Mirador offers a beautiful view of the Mombacho Volcano.

Casa Don Carlos was fully restored in 2007. Although described as Colonial, this beautiful house presents some modern characteristics that were added during reconstruction by the owner which is a very talented architect and Interior Designer. Inspired by the beautiful architecture of Greek beach houses, an interior arch between the living-room and corridors was added thus creating a more open and exotic space. The kitchen area moved from the back of the house toward the patio allowing a more cozy atmosphere. A more modern note to this colonial design is given by the addition of a large counter and 2 full bars, one inside that can be used as dining space and one outside in the patio. You will find this re-design very pleasing, combining perfectly the colonial style with the modern, adequate for the new living standards of our times.

Casa Don Carlos is very private and quiet, features that our guests have always appreciated.

Guest Access

While at the house you can enjoy free internet Wi-Fi access, cable TV, free international calls, washer and dryer, 1 parking space, house cleaning service, a credit for electricity and offer *optional services (additional costs – but very affordable) such as: airport shuttle, personalized trips to different touristic attractions and cooking services. Electricity is a separate charge, we do not include that in the booking price. The amount varies based on consumption. You can inquire at the time of your booking how much the KW is in US dollars, the amount can be different depending on the inflation.

The Neighborhood

Our house is located just a couple of blocks from the Farmer’s Market, which is such a big attraction for everyone visiting Granada. It’s so much fun to walk to the market and meet the locals. While not precisely in the heart of Granada City it offers that extra privacy and quiet one needs, after a long day full of fun activities.
